September 15th, 2024 (Sun.): Oral presentations, Symposiums, Ceremonies, research exchange meetings Gyoza-no-kai (餃子の会), etc.
September 16th, 2024 (Mon.): Poster presentations (including high school student presenters), Public lectures.

Venue

Utsunomiya University (Yoto Campus) and Light Cube Utsunomiya

It will be held in person at Utsunomiya University (Yoto Campus) and Light Cube Utsunomiya. Online presentations are partially accepted (see below for details).

Style of the event

The meeting will be held in person.

  • We will NOT be live streaming any presentations this year.
  • Online presentations via Zoom or other methods are only available to those with unavoidable circumstances, such as childcare or nursing care. Please consult with the Executive Committee in advance.
  • If you choose to present online, please pay the regular rate.
  • If you would like to present online, please contact us by May 20th, 2024.

Information for participants

If you require assistance and are not proficient in Japanese, we recommend consulting with your academic advisor. We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but kindly understand that our staff resources are constrained. For inquiries in English, please reach out to Dr. Thagun (and kindly include your academic advisor, if possible).

To apply for oral/poster presentations, participation, and research exchange meeting (Gyoza-no-kai)

Please register from the registration page (available from April 8th). Please note that research presentations are limited to the Society members. If you are not a member, we kindly encourage you to consider joining in advance. For more information, please refer to the page (only Japanese version is available).

Childcare service

Childcare services will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the exhibition. For evening hours (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.), we kindly ask that you consult with the Executive Committee in advance. Please refer to the page (only Japanese version is available) for details on how to apply.

Poster presentation (special slots for high school students)

Poster presentations will be held on September 16th (Mon.), 2024. Applications from high school students across the country are warmly welcomed. For further information, please visit the page. Please note that the website is only available in Japanese.

*We kindly suggest that non-members consider joining BSJ in advance to facilitate registration.
*Undergraduate students who will be presenting are required to join BSJ prior to applying for the presentation.
*For undergraduate students who will not be presenting, we will request information from your academic advisor, such as their name and email address. If you plan to register on-site, please present your student ID card at the reception.
*Please note that the registration fee is tax-free for members and tax-inclusive for non-members.

Information on the research exchange meeting Gyoza-no-kai

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a research exchange meeting called ‘Gyoza no Kai’. We would love for you to join us and not miss out on this great opportunity to enjoy the famous Gyoza in Utsunomiya!
